Farid is the creator of GenAI Mtl, one of the fastest-growing generative AI communities in Montreal, bringing together more than 1,500 members, 20+ monthly events, and 40+ speakers.

He has held senior AI leadership roles in both consulting and product environments, ranging from startups to small and medium-sized businesses.

At CGI in Montreal, he held a senior AI leadership role focused on Quebec and Eastern Canada. As Director of AI, he supported development initiatives across Eastern Canada, helped shape offerings, supported client transformation, and built high-performing AI teams while contributing to executive-level AI transformation initiatives.

Known for combining business vision with hands-on credibility, Farid helps organizations move from AI ambition to practical execution. He brings a rare mix of executive communication, delivery leadership, technical depth, and ecosystem building to AI transformation mandates.

He also served as Head of Technology at Sadie AI, where he helped scale an AI voice platform supporting restaurant bookings for more than 1,000 restaurants worldwide.

His background spans both strategic leadership and deep technical execution, from LLM solutions and cloud architecture to CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and enterprise application development.

Bjoern is an entrepreneur, executive, researcher and mentor to founders and executives; with 15 years experience in the technology space with a focus on AI and Data products in b2b. 

He co-founded multiple startups including Compass which sold to Sage. 

At Sage he led the AI transformation of the business. 

Prior to Compass he founded the Startup Genome project, the first large scale study of startup success and failure. 

Providing deep insights into organizational development, business model innovation and management under uncertainty.

 The project turned into a global technology enabled advisory firm for policy makers and corporates. 

Along with the startup genome project Bjoern founded Blackbox, a global accelerator for technology startup. 

Since then he has been both an advisor and investor into startups. 

Besides his career in technology he has been training and practicing various therapy and trauma healing modalities, including the 2 year Timeless Wisdom Training with Thomas Huebel.
